12 Eat a Sattvic Diet
Sattvic diet is a concept from Ayurveda
and Eastern Medicine. Ayurveda suggests that when you eat, the food is
converted into ojas using the digestive
fire called Agni. (Please see
our
Ayurveda section for explanation.) An
excellent, balanced diet consists of those that turn into ojas with the least
effort on your body's part. This regimen of foods is called sattvic, or pure,
foods.

Sattvic diet is preferred because it is the best diet for physical strength,
a good mind, good health, and longevity. It is conducive to happiness and loving
emotions because it is in tune with nature as a whole.
