Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
Sources of Fatigue
Fatigue can result from a variety of conditions. Chronic fatigue syndrome is only one of these. Other sources for fatigue include:

Adrenal insufficiency caused by the overuse of stimulants (tea, coffee, chocolate, cola, alcohol, tobacco, drugs) and/or excessive stress.

Allergies.
|
 |
Anemia (low levels of iron or vitamin B12 in the blood result in anemia).
|
 |
Candidiasis This is often misdiagnosed as CFS in women.
|
 |
Cardiovascular causes (if breathlessness and or chest pain on exertion accompanies fatigue, the heart may be involved).

 |
Depression.
|
 |
Diabetes.
|
 |
Headaches.
|
 |
Hypoglycemia
|
 |
Infections
|
 |
Nutritional deficiency.
|
 |
Obesity.
|
 |
Premenstrual syndrome
|
 |
Sleep disturbance or inadequate sleep.
|
 |
Stress.
|
 |
Thyroid problems (over or underactive thyroid activity can lead to fatigue).
|
 |
Toxicity (environmentally acquired toxins such as lead, aluminum, and mercury). |
