Testicle Self-Examination Cancer of the testicle is the most common
cancer in men in the 20- to 35-year age group. Those particularly at risk are young white
males who have a history of an undescended testicle. ( An undescended testis is one that
has failed to complete its normal passage from within the abdomen to the scrotum. Not all
testes that are absent from the scrotum are undescended) If detected early, testicular
cancer is one of the most easily curable of all cancers. Self- examination should be
performed monthly or more often. Feel for any enlargement or irregularity of your
testicles. Perform the examination after a bath or shower when the scrotal skin is
relaxed.
