Vision Therapy for
Stroke
Victims of stroke suffer from aim, focus, and eye movement impairment as well as visual field and perceptual defects. A behavioral optometrist can test for these impairments and get the victim started on a personalized vision therapy.
Vision therapy includes awareness training, visual/motor exercises and lenses and prisms.
The benefits of the therapy are dramatic improvements in: gross and fine movement control, hand-eye coordination, attention, memory, and learning skills.
Caution: These
remedies are not meant to be used as a treatment for stroke. If you suspect a
stroke, seek emergency medical treatment immediately. Time is of
essence.
