Foods That May Cause Migraine Sensitivity

Foods may precipitate migraines either because they contain chemicals such as amines that dilate the blood vessels or you are allergic to them. We will list potential foods that are known to cause migraines in several people. Please note that this does not mean that you are sensitive to these foods. Some people are known to be sensitive to foods containing MSG, the flavor enhancer, or nitrates, which are commonly found in bacon, hot dogs, and other preserved meats.
You could also be sensitive to artificial sweeteners like Aspartame, which is found in Nutrasweet.
